Interview in Prairie Books NOW

The Summer 2010 issue of Prairie Books Now, a cool literary journal published three times a year and available throughout the prairies, is now out featuring “Hot Reads for Kids”. I’m delighted and honoured that a spotlight on “Lights! Curtains! Cows!” and “No TV? No Fair!” was  included, as well as an interview with me by journalist Margaret Anne Fehr. We chatted about my books, school visits, and the state of reading among young people. I hope you’ll check it out.

You can pick up a copy of Prairie Books Now (Summer 2010, no. 53) at bookstores throughout Winnipeg (I found mine at Chapters, but I hear it’s also at McNally Robinson, and Aqua Books on Garry, too) – if you’re not from Winnipeg, but are from good ol’ Western Canada, you should be able to find them at select locations, too.  It’s definitely worth your while  – it’s a newsprint journal that’s beautifully laid out, *free* and will have you developing a book list of great reads at least as long as your arm – that’s what I’ve done!
